What is the process?
An initial onsite consultation will be arranged to meet and discuss designs, budgets and what you are trying to achieve with your pool and landscape design. Everything will be taken into account and This also allows us to inspect your site and give any feedback we may be able to add. We will then go and prepare your obligation free quote.
Once the final quotation and design has been approved a SPASA contract will be completed between both parties. This clearly states everything that is included and excluded in your project aswell as the payment terms. We will require a signed contract to apply for our builders warranty insurance which is a requirement for your building permit application. The next stages are listed below.
- engineering computations
- building permit
- onsite set out and approval
- begin excavation
How long will it take?
Generally it will take approximately 4-5 weeks for the engineering computations and the building permit to be processed. If a planning permit is required an allowance of up to 6 months is generally assumed. During this 4-5 week period we will have co ordinated the necessary trades to be aligned for the initial construction period of your swimming pool.
Once we have begun the construction of your pool the minimum time we allow to complete your pool is 10 weeks. This includes a 4 week allowance for the pool shell to cure prior to the interior tiling. New houses, extensions and renovation aswell as large scale projects will delay this process.
What else should I budget for?
Aswell as your swimming pool construction costs we advise our clients that there is generally going to be other items that will need to be factored into your overall budget. These include.
- Associated landscaping
- Pool fencing
- Electrical connections
- Plumbing connections
- Re instatement of lawn, plants etc
