Situated in the picturesque town of Marysville this 7m x 3m two sided negative edge pool complete with a 2m x 2m spa sits elevated 1.2m above ground level enhancing the visual effect from inside of the clients house. From almost every angle of the living area, kitchen and master bedroom the clients achieve an amazing view over their negative edge pool that seems to disappear into the surrounding mountains.
This 16m x 2.2m lap pool with an extra offset area for the clients children to play sits 1.6m above the tennis court level eliminating the need for a safety barrier as well as integrating the pool with the house and upper entertaining area. One of the key features of this pool is the acrylic panel located in the pool wall which acts as a visual feature from inside the clients cellar. Tiled in a large format tile on a square set flor radius adds to the overall design.
A bold statement was made by choosing to fully tile this negative edge pool in red glass mosaic tiles. Constructed on the side of a hill on a rural homestead the pool includes a sunken spa tiled in black glass mosaics for a contrast and displays a feature wall finished with a black mirror reflecting the views across the lower paddocks. A multi award winning pool receiving accolades at the SPASA industry awards.
Like many of our projects, the clients entrusted Aquacon to take on the complete package for this backyard transformation. This included design, pool construction, landscaping and managing the carpentry works . The brief was fairy straight forward, the space needed to be multifunctional and visually pleasing. A place to relax under shade, entertain guests and to compliment the homes existing features. Large 1.2m x .6m bluestone pavers reflect the old bluestone laneways of the Clifton hill area and the raised circular decks add visual depth. Tiled in white ceramic tiles this 12m x 2.5m pool with internal spa received a gold award at the 2015 SPASA industry awards.
Featuring clean lines and crisp colours the pool and spa seamlessly compliments the contemporary style of the house. Designed by Aquacon the clients initial brief was to have separate areas around the pool for the older kids to “hang out” and to be able to see the pool from inside the house but not raising the pool too high cutting it off from the lower grass area. This was the 4th pool constructed for this particular client and are currently midway through the 5th.
